CRIME SCENE 1- "The Case of Lois McArthur"
Tragic suicide or horrible murder? Your students will enjoy using their science skills to solve the mystery of Lois McArthur. Students perform: Blood, hair, fiber, fingerprint and handwriting tests. Teachers can make as many copies of the lab manual as desired. Plenty of materials for three classes of 24 working in pairs. Why buy three or more kits when one, THE ONE, will do?

A missing heir. Money, power and mystery. These are the facets of the story of Jason Worth. Students will use the same tests that a police forensic scientist would use to solve the mystery of "who dunnit?" Students perform: Blood tests, fiber, fingerprint, ink and paper analysis tests are included.

CRIME SCENE 3 - "Drug Bust"
Things aren’t going well for The Bellehomme Academy. Several students have been implicated in a rash of drug related crime in this exclusive school. The parents of the community are in shock. The school administration, in cooperation with the local police, has begun an investigation into the matter. Your students are the chemists and forensic experts charged with solving the crime and clearing the innocent. |

"TERROR FROM PARADISE"
Terror from Paradise provides the classroom science/forensics teacher with a real life simulation of the complications involved in weeding out terror before it can exact a toll on innocent individuals.Paula Primetime, the award winning journalist gives a simulated TV news report on the heightened security at the airport and conducts a personal interview with the terrorist leader, Gore Nihil at his secret base in the mountains of Franistan. Students perform tests that have become customary in the fight against terrorist plots. Students are familiar with “sniffers” used at airports to screen luggage for explosives. In this simulation, they test for the presence of C4, toxic poisons and a deadly bacterium Thetacoccus. Voice print testing and fingerprint analysis round out the interactive role students play in identifying the terrorist cell bent on the importation of weapons of mass destruction (WMD) into the US. |

ENVIROLAB 1 (Environmental Analysis)
The thriving community of Carterville has been growing in leaps and bounds. After a long stretch of a bad economy, Carter Creek Paper and Plastics (CCPP) has doubled its business. This means more jobs, opportunities and $$$ for the area! There is a dark cloud on the horizon for the Carterville area. The creek has been found to be polluted!! Your students have been hired by a local chemical testing laboratory to find the nature of the contamination and locate it’s source.This kit uses a clever story line to teach chemistry and the relevance of chemistry in the community. |

MYSTERIOUS LIQUID
"The Mysterious Liquid from Area 51" - A clandestine military base deep in the heart of the American southwest. Conflicting newspaper reports of unusual sightings by both citizens and members of the military. Persistent rumors of alien experiments and weird technology. These are all part of the mystery of Area 51. This kit investigates the chemical and physical properties of liquid samples stolen from the Area 51 property room. The liquid is alleged to have come from a UFO that crash-landed in the desert. The kit uses this scenario to raise the interest level of students in the investigation of the most important liquid to life as we know it. The Mysterious Liquid from Area 51 is indeed a kit about the properties of water.

THETACOCCUS - (Synthetic Bacteria)
Thetacoccus. An artificial bacteria that stains, chemically reacts and MOVES(!) like a bacteria, but isn't alive!! X-ACT BLOOD TYPING KIT
Blood typing without the danger of contamination or infection from real blood sources. There are no blood or blood sera used in this simulation of the typing of the eight different blood types possible. A, B, AB, O with Rh + and - for each. The tests are economical and safe for all to use. This test kit is NOT meant to be used with real blood of any kind. |

NARC LAB
Students perform the same test that a lab technician would for the analysis of urine for the presence of cocaine. The instructor determines which samples will be positive and which will be negative. The urine, cocaine solution and reagents are simulations of the real thing. |

"FAST FOOD FRENZY"
Use the gift certificate included in the kit to purchase a meal from a popular Fast Food restaurant. Students conduct qualitative tests for the major nutrients in any meal. A scoring chart allows them to determine the “food value” of a meal most of them have surely tried. Water bathes, alcohol burners or any other source of heat ARE NOT REQUIRED for these tests. They can easily be performed in a wide variety of venues. The kit contains materials for two classes of twenty-four students working in pairs.
